Altay Volleyball Club beat Nakhon Ratchasima QminC in 3 thrilling sets (25-22 25-22 25-20). It is Altay’s first-ever title in the Asian Women’s Club Championship. They qualify in the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship to be held in Turkey later this year.
Two-time Asian club champions Supreme Chonburi settled for bronze after beating Iranian club Saipa in straight sets. Malika Kanthong was the top scorer with 15 points, and Wipawee Srithong added 12 points for Supreme Chonburi. Mona Ashofteh led the scoring for Saipa with 15 pts.
In the 5th place match between Kazakhstan’s Zhetysu and Philippines’ Choco Mucho. Zhetysu dominated the match, winning each set with a score of 25-14, 25-11 and 25-23. Russian Valeriya Shatunova was the top scorer while Fil-Hawaiian Kalei Mau scored 12 points for Choco Mucho.
